GH Spoilers: Sasha’s Secret Motive: Why She Wants Jason to Protect Michael?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is in over her head, and she may be feeling like she needs Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) protection to keep enduring what the people of Port Charles are readily throwing at her.

Going through her entire pregnancy having to defend her delicate condition and be repeatedly pelted with questions about the baby’s father isn’t how she saw this going.

But she can’t reveal the truth about her one-night-stand with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) or she’ll risk him losing custody of his children when he’s not even here to speak for himself.

It sounds reasonable, but is Michael really all that Sasha is worried about?

General Hospital Spoilers — Primary Custody Prevails

It’s possible that Sasha’s main concern is still what it has been from the start. She wants to raise this baby on her own, and she has no idea when Michael will even be able to come home. It’s possible he’ll still be seeking treatment by the time she gives birth.

If that’s the case, she’ll have to contend with his family — not him — over the baby. That is the last thing she wants to worry about right now, and she wouldn’t have to if only Michael were there, but he’s not.

GH Spoilers Exclaim Michael’s Family is Jason’s Family

Sure, Jason and Michael are both Quartermaines, but one of them can speak for themselves right now. It may feel like a safer bet to Sasha to pretend Jason is the dad, knowing that he’s never going to hold her to it.

Jason isn’t going to fight her for custody or any rights to her child. That simply couldn’t be the case if everyone knew she was carrying Michael’s child.

Given what Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is going through right now with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who could blame Sasha for not wanting to set herself up for a custody battle in Michael’s absence?

General Hospital Spoilers — All’s Well That Ends Well?

Can this possibly end well? Eventually, Michael will come home and the truth will have to come out. Jason covering for Michael would only suffice if the ultimate end goal was to tell everyone that the baby’s father is actually Michael.

But Sasha and Michael both agreed that they would keep that a secret — forever. At what point is this mess cleaned up and Jason freed from pretending to be a father to Michael’s child if Michael can’t claim the baby as his own?

Just how long might Jason be forced to play father, and how could it possibly end in a way that everyone is happy?

Michael will have lost time with his child — a child that Jason bonds with and may not want to give up. Sasha’s plan might be a good band-aid for the rest of her pregnancy, but what comes next could make them regret ever choosing to go down this deceptive path.
