GH Spoilers: Portia Destined For Another Paternity Scandal, Trina Figures Out the Truth!

General Hospital spoilers gossip Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) keeps insisting she wants to be all about transparency this time around with her paternity problem, but something tells me it’s not going to be that easy.

As much as Portia keeps saying she wants to handle everything with integrity and truth this time around, she hasn’t managed to tell Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) the truth that this baby may not be his yet — nevermind anyone else.

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is already heavily invested in the idea that her mom has a baby on board, and I think it’s only a matter of time before things get muddy — and Trina ends up being the one to blow the whistle.

Portia Wants the Truth

Portia claims she wants to tell the truth. She’s been through this before. She avoided the reality that her baby could have been another man’s, and she let her then-husband, Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews) raise Trina — a child that was never his own.

The heartbreak that stemmed from that for Taggert, Trina, and Curtis, was destructive to their entire family. It took more than a year for her and Curtis to be okay again, just for them to fall apart when the going was getting good. Who’s to say that won’t happen again?

No matter who the father is, Portia has to deliver bad news to someone. Moreover, she’s got to be pulling for one of them over the other.

GH Spoilers Gush Isaiah and Curtis Want What They Want

Portia’s wants aside, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) wants to be a father. Portia was a witness to his jubilance over the very thought of it last week.

As he spoke to her about his own father and the way he desires to have his own child, she resonated with his commitment to being the best dad he could be. So, if this baby isn’t his, it’s going to cut him deep; she can already tell that.

Back in Port Charles, Curtis thinks Portia is being tended to by a friend at the Metro Court, and he thinks she’s pregnant with his child. It’s going to blindside him to learn there is even another option, and we can tell Portia doesn’t want to ever have to tell him that.

Still, there is plenty of time for him to learn such, especially with her lying to him about how she is spending her time. With both of these men praying this child is their’s, there is a chance either of them could take steps to ensure the paternity test says they’re the father.

Trina Always Digs Too Deep

Imagine this storyline playing out. This time, instead of Portia lying and claiming someone else is the father of her baby, she might trust the paternity test she orders completely.

She may go on to believe the father testing positive on that test is the father of her baby and that this time, she did everything “right.”

That doesn’t mean someone else didn’t interfere with the results, and as time goes on, I suspect it’ll be Trina who wonders if something is fishy more than anyone else. Don’t get me wrong, she might think it’s her mother hiding the truth again — not Curtis or Isaiah.

What do you think? There is little chance this paternity story isn’t going to be a scandal. Who will break the news on it? Keep checking back with us every day for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
