How Maxie will leave the canvas is anyone’s guess, but given that Maxie was the only person who voted against not going to the authorities about Sonny’s crooked investment in Deception, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) could see this as problem since she is the adopted daughter of police detective Mac Scorpio (John J. York), and she would want to get Maxie out of the way.
Tracy Quartermaine Sends Maxie Jones On A Trip To Sell Deception Products To Resort Spas
In order to keep Maxie away from Port Charles for the time being, Tracy would tell her that she has a special assignment for her.
She wants to expand the Deception market overseas, and has a list of resort spas that she wants Maxie to go and pitch Deception products to them.
This will just be the beginning of their expansion overseas. Maxie could think it is a good idea, but she may not want to go. Tracy would convince her that she is the best person for the job, and although she is skeptical, Maxie would reluctantly agree.
Maxie Jones Leaves For Her Overseas Spa Selling Trip
After talking things over with Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Maxie would tell him that she is going to be gone for a while selling Deception products to resort spas overseas.
She would be sad to leave her children for a while, but Spinelli would assure her that everything would be fine. Maxie gets her itinerary from Tracy, and her first stop is The Five Poppies Resort in Croatia.
Maxie Jones Arrives At The Five Poppies Resort
After a long flight, Maxie arrives at the Five Poppies resort and checks in. She just misses seeing Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), as Maxie would have a strong reaction to seeing her alive.
Pascal (Marc Forget) would give her a tour of the resort, and show her to her room.
Maxie would get comfortable, and she would surely enjoy the amenities of the hotel before her pitch meetings. Will Maxie and Britt run into each other?
Maxie Jones Is Taken After Her Pitch Meeting At Five Poppies
Maxie meets with the Five Poppies management, and has a very successful pitch meeting.
They agree to buy all of the products to test in their spas, and after guest feedback, they will consider switching to Deception products. Maxie is very pleased, and thanks them.
However, someone is watching Maxie. Maxie leaves the meeting, and a masked figure grabs her from behind and chloroforms her.
Maxie Jones Goes Missing
After some time has gone by, Spinelli would become concerned that Maxie has not checked in. Pascal would believe that Maxie left without checking out after her meeting, as her room was packed and cleared out.
Spinelli would call the resort, and Pascal would inform him that Maxie already checked out. Spinelli would continue to try to get ahold of her to no avail. He would ask Tracy what her next stop is and she would tell him and he would try to contact her there.
Spinelli would learn that Maxie never checked in and be very concerned and worried at this point. Days would go by with no word from Maxie, and friends and family would be shocked that she is missing.
Did Tracy have something to do with Maxie’s disappearance to keep her quiet about Deception’s crooked finances? Or is someone else responsible?
