‘GH’ Spoilers: Kirsten Storms Addresses The ‘Attempted Suicide’ Rumor Head-On

General Hospital spoilers and updates show that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) has recently been dealing with nasty rumors stemming from a recent health update she shared. She mentioned the social media rumor regarding her supposed attempted suicide, and addressed it head-on as fake!

Kirsten Has Been A Subject Of Many Rumors Throughout Her Acting Career

As an actress, Storms began her career as a child, notably playing Zenon Kar in the Disney Channel’s Zenon films-she later became a well-known soap star.

In 1999, Storms joined Days of Our Lives, portraying Isabella “Belle” Black for about five years; in 2005, she took on one of her longest roles: Maxie Jones on General Hospital. Throughout her career, Storms has frequently been the target of rumors.

Recently, she used Instagram to clarify a blog post that shared a story about her from earlier this year. “I wanted to post this because even though my brain seems to be sorta lowkey rebelling against me, it does allow me to understand that we’ve all got times when things aren’t great.”

Storms Shared Multiple Images Detailing A Brain Scan From January 2025

Storms posted several images showing text about her brain scan in January 2025, which followed a surgery in 2021.

The text indicated that Storms had experienced symptoms that might be related to her brain; in her caption, Storms mentioned that this procedure made her the target of an internet rumor.

She wrote, “A few days after I left the hospital, someone made a blog post claiming I was in the hospital that weekend because I tried to ‘unalive’ myself.”

“I couldn’t grasp why someone would fabricate such a horrible story without knowing the real reason for my hospital visit. There are definitely some really bad apples out there.

The Post Ended On A More Positive Note

In contrast, the photo slide took a more uplifting turn, revealing that Storms was taking a break from work and even leaving California. It also mentioned that “Emme” was with her during the 2021 craniotomy and recovery in the hospital.

The posts referenced  her best friend  General Hospital alum, Emme Rylan, who portrayed Lulu Spencer on the soap.

The post went on to discuss Storms and Rylan crocheting sweaters together in St. Louis, with Storms expressing her gratitude for the emotional support she received.

Returning to the caption, Storms further expressed her appreciation for the support system in her daily life.

She added, “We all know that… but there are people in my life whom I am genuinely grateful to know; one of whom just made a ton of sweaters with me-they are amazing.”
