General Hospital spoilers exclaim it’s been more than a year since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) died, and many of us still can’t get over it.
Maybe that’s why we reach into every corner of our minds hoping to find a shred of evidence that she might come back to the land of the living and back to Port Charles. It’s not impossible.
The list of people who’ve come back after being killed on GH is anything but short. Just ask Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) — he’s done it several times. If Sam somehow survived being killed by Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), where would she be hiding out now?
Could it be that she is alive but not under her own control? That might track if the storyline happening in the background of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) returns are that they are somehow cloned or resuscitated, back to seek justice for something.
I could see Sam being drugged and brought back out of the country just like what happened to Britt. If Sam was alive right now, it’s not impossible that the PCPD would want to question her too in connection with Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) attempted murder. Could she have done it?
A Laundry List of Suspects
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was furious with Drew for blackmailing his wife, but Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) might have been even angrier.
Either of them could have done it, even if they didn’t. Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has plenty of motive, and so do Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) hates Drew, but she also jumped in to help right away when she found him bleeding out.
The truth is, there are few people who like Drew, and Sam certainly wouldn’t approve of the way he’s been holding Emily ‘Scout’ Cain (Cosette Abinante) away from her family.
GH Spoilers Suggest Sam Could’ve Done It
When everyone thinks you’re dead, it’s highly unlikely that you’re going to end up on the suspect list for any crime, let alone for trying to kill someone else from beyond the grave.
There is nothing Sam wouldn’t have done for her children, and the way that Drew has been treating Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) would break her heart.
I could see an edgier, manipulated version of Sam being replicated somehow with Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) sinister technologies, bringing her back somehow only to go on a killing spree against her ex.
Moreover, I could see Peter August (Wes Ramsey) doing the same, given that he was obsessed with seeking approval from his dad and loathed Drew, who had too much incriminating information on him. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if she doesn’t want him raising her daughter.
Nothing is as It Seems
If this all sounds just a bit too out there, it’s because GH has ventured into some tricky territory as of late.
We don’t know for sure where they’re going with this storyline, but once we find out what cold fusion is exactly and how it is being used, it sounds like we’re going to be in for some major surprises.
Many viewers already suspect Nathan isn’t really Nathan, though it’s been harder to peg Britt — who only just confessed this week that she thought she was dying that night in her mothers arms and was shocked to wake up later in what was essentially a new life.
Could Kelly Monaco really rejoin the cast without us finding out she’s headed back? Stranger things have happened. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
