Bear in mind there will be two days of encore episodes and the new episode described here actually airs on Friday, January 2.
On Wednesday, December 31, there will be a repeat of an episode from last year, where Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) met at a café in Prague.

Valentin interrupted their time together, while in Port Charles, new details about the Cassadine estate emerged.
On Thursday, January 1st there is a special tribute episode honoring the late Anthony Geary, who played the iconic Luke Spencer; this will be a rebroadcast of his last episode as Luke from July 27, 2015.
There was one short cameo later where he did not speak, but Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) ran into him in a café in Amsterdam, where Geary had moved in real life.

Willow’s Trial Reconvenes As Alexis Tries A New Strategy
When the show picks up with Friday’s new episode, Willow’s trial reconvenes, while Alexis tries a new strategy to exonerate her, which is vital.
In a previous episode, Alexis had received a note via courier regarding the case, from an anonymous individual claiming to have witnessed Michael the night of the shooting.
The person who wrote the note said that they saw him enter and leave Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) house, plus knew that Tracy saw him.
Also, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will confer with Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) and that could take place in either the ADA’s office or in the courtroom.

Sonny Warns Michael, Laura’s New Marching Orders, Kristina’s Taken Aback!
Also in this episode, Sonny will have a warning for Michael-this is likely to be related to the court case and his alibi, which could fall through.
If Jacinda Bracken’s (Paige Herschell) mystery client is exposed, which may be Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) who’s in cahoots with Drew, Michael could be in some real trouble, as well as Jacinda!
As for Laura Collins, (Genie Francis) she’ll get new marching orders from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) who’s also in cahoots with Boyle.
Plus, Michael’s sister, Sonny’s daughter with Alexis, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is in for something unexpected. Kristina is literally blindsided and taken aback by the experience!
