Nina Paid For Ric’s Legal Services
Since Willow required a reliable lawyer, Nina compensated Ric to ensure she had legal support following her separation from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Nina thought Willow might refuse help if she found out her mom was paying for it, so she made Ric stay silent about her role.
Instead, Ric informed Willow that he was working on the case for free, which is also what Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was told.
However, it seems that this secret won’t be kept hidden from all involved for much longer, even though Willow figured it out herself and then confronted Nina about it-Elizabeth still doesn’t know!
With Ava, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) holding Ric captive, they want to avoid anyone snooping around and asking too many questions.
Killing Two Birds With One Stone
There were worries regarding Elizabeth and Willow creating issues, but Ava suggested a method to achieve two goals at once, in other words, killing two birds with one stone.
Ava is aware that Nina compensated Ric to represent Willow, and he has merely been feigning to manage the case for free out of goodwill.
It appears that Ava plans to reveal the truth in a way that Liz discovers it, effectively eliminating Ava’s competition for Ric.
In the episode aired on September 16, Ava informed Kristina that once Elizabeth talks to Willow, she will no longer be interested in Ric.
Willow Confronted Nina, And May Blame Her For Ric’s Absence
As expected, Willow confronted Nina, but she was ahead of Ava’s scheme, figuring things out on her own, so Nina didn’t find out from Ava.
Willow believed it was just another way Nina had tricked her and didn’t hold back in telling her so-her mother reamed her out. This shows that Nina hasn’t learned anything as far as Willow is concerned, and probably more flak is coming .
Willow might even hold Nina responsible for Ric abandoning her case now that he’s supposedly off doing a digital detox at some retreat.
Nina only wanted to assist Willow in trying to regain her children, so she reacted angrily towards her ungrateful daughter.
What Comes Around Goes Around-Is Ava And Nina’s Friendship Doomed For The Dumpster?
Ava might try to stay out of trouble depending on how she reveals this secret to Liz, but it could be quite simple for Nina to discover who is to blame! Will Ava’s underhanded tactic lead to another issue in her friendship with Nina?
Their friendship is so unlikely anyway, with all the horrible things in the past between them. Ava cheated with Nina’s first husband and had a child with him, and Nina put Ava into labor with Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola) and kidnapped her!
Nina managed to move past Ava’s earlier betrayals, but will she be able to overcome this one as well?
