GH Spoilers: Another Back-From-The-Dead Twist — Will Alex Return Pretending To Be Anna?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there may be more coming back from the dead besides Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Technically, Britt faked her death but Nathan’s was really for real-is there a possibility that Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) will return, impersonating Anna?

Alex Was Presumed Dead-Her Body Never Found

Like Spencer Cassadine (most recently Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) Alex was presumed dead-her body was never actually found.

She and her twin Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had struggled onboard the Haunted Star at sea, Anna shot her into the water.

There’s a possibility that the “Anna” who supposedly called Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) and more recently, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) was actually Alex.

It has been assumed her voice was recreated by a voice simulator similar to what Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) used on a case.

While a voice simulator or some artificial intelligence tool may have been used for Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) voice, it’s possible he’s alive too, and working with Alex!

Alex Has Impersonated Anna Many Times, Including To Cesar!

Alex has impersonated Anna many times, including to Cesar Faison-that’s how Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was born-Cesar thought he was with Anna, so she even fooled him.

This was years ago when Anna was a double agent for the WSB and the DVX, and they didn’t even know they were twins-Alex was told Anna was a doppelganger!

And she was actually given an assignment to kill Anna-it was during Anna’s time in Pine Valley that they discovered they were twin sisters.

Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was also fooled by Alex years ago, but he’s now fine-tuned to tell the difference between the two, especially after being romantically involved with Anna. 

So, if when “Anna” who is held captive by someone “returns” to Port Charles, it will be Valentin who recognizes Alex and likely who rescues Anna!

Valentin May Be The Only One Who Isn’t Fooled Should  Alex Return As “Anna”

Valentin may be the only one who isn’t fooled, should Alex return as “Anna”; when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) told him Anna was on a WSB mission, he seemed taken aback!

That may be because he remembers when Anna was forced to resign from the WSB by none other than Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) because of her history of being a double agent.

But Jack is no longer the head of the WSB, he’s just a local station chief for Port Charles-or so he says-he seems to have an awful lot of power in his position to just be local.

Valentin already suspects there’s something untoward that’s happened to Anna-that’s one reason he told Carly he plans to stay until Anna returns.

But first, more than likely, he’ll need to make sure that his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) is safe, and then he’ll work on finding the real Anna.
