After months of her daughters, Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) fighting, they finally called a truce.
The Davis girls finally decided that they were better off together, and they were ready to work through the issues that had kept them divided for the last several months.
Alexis was just basking in the reality that her daughters were getting along again, and along comes Ava Jerome (Maura West) to pull the rug right out from underneath her.
General Hospital Spoilers: Alexis Is In For A Shock
What Alexis doesn’t know is that Kristina, who basically blames Ava for every single thing that has gone wrong in her life over the last year or so, cut the brakes on a car that she thought belonged to Ava.
After her latest conflict with Ava, she went to the parking garage, looked for Ava‘s parking space, and then cut the brake lines. What she didn’t know is that she was actually cutting the brakes on Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) car instead of Ava’s.
Ric left the parking garage with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) in the front seat of the car, and it didn’t take long for him to realize he had no brakes. Both of them survived, Liz with a broken leg and Ric with more serious injuries, but they made it.
Ava may have missed her true calling as a private investigator because, in a matter of hours, she pieced together the fact that the crash was not an accident at all. She went to the parking lot where Ric‘s car was impounded and found out that the brakes had been cut.
She then went and got footage from the parking garage that showed Kristina tampering with Ric‘s car. She brought it to him, and he is furious.
Ric believes that Kristina has to pay for her actions once and for all. Alexis always finds a way to get her off the hook for whatever she’s done.
The lack of accountability in Kristina’s life is horrific and it is part of the reason why she keeps doing things to get herself into more trouble. Ric wants to take the footage right to the police, but Ava has something else in mind.
General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Wants A Payday
Ava instead brings the footage to Alexis with an ulterior motive, of course. Alexis is in charge of the Cassadine fortune, and Alexis is the one who voided out Ava‘s divorce settlement from Nikolas Cassadine.
She is the only one who can cut any kind of check from the Cassadine empire, and Ava wants her money back.
She knows that Alexis is not going to let Kristina go down in flames even though she’s guilty. What Ava doesn’t know is that Kristina and Molly have just made up and that there’s finally peace in the Davis household.
That peace is likely to be more important to Alexis than anything else, so the chance of her meeting Ava‘s demands is fantastic. Will she be willing to pay for Ava’s silence? You better believe she will.
Alexis will do anything to protect her daughters, especially Kristina, and she’s gonna be willing to do anything to make this tape disappear permanently.
