Former Prince Andrew Made These Demands To King Charles Prior To His Royal Exile

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may have fallen, but he apparently did not go down easily. While he may not have his royal titles or his grand Royal Lodge, he did get some details about his future sorted out first.

When the going got tough, and new emails exposed the depth of his associations with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew was given no choice but to lose all his remaining royal import.

As a way to secure his future should Prince William’s “change” come to fruition, Andrew has asked for certain non-negotiable things.

Since his 2019 Newsnight interview, Andrew has been dipping lower down the rung every passing year.

This year, even though he’d resisted the reality for many years, he was eventually forced to relinquish even his last remaining ties to the royal institution.

But if he’s going to lose it all, including his £40 million 30-bedroom mansion, he’s going to need some guarantees at the very least.

Speaking on these guarantees is royal biographer Andrew Lownie, who told RadarOnline that Andrew only agreed to leave quietly after securing some promises.

“He’d been holding out for all sorts of requirements,” Lownie said. “One is that he has a proper staff at his new home; two, that that position is guaranteed when (Prince William) imparts the throne; three, that he was paid large sums of money, not just an allowance, just to get out.”

However, King Charles had his own leverage, and he warned Andrew that further resistance from him would reflect negatively on his two daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

“The signal couldn’t have been clearer,” one senior source revealed. “Beatrice and Eugenie would be protected, but only if Andrew stood down.”

When it came to that, Andrew could only but relent and fine-tune some of his harsher demands. “For Andrew, safeguarding his daughters was the red line,” another source said. “Once he was assured their position would remain intact, he stepped aside.”
