A Popular Grey’s Anatomy Cast Member Is Returning

Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 is coming back on air on ABC next month.  The Grey Sloan Memorial gang returns with all new episodes on Thursday, January 8.  According to a new report, a fan fave will be back when the show returns.  Keep reading for all the details, Dr. Addison Montgomery is making a comeback!

It has been thirteen years since Kate Walsh officially exited from Grey’s Anatomy.  Since the pandemic, Dr. Montgomery returned to the primetime drama for a few guest star appearances.  

Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Returns With New Episodes

If you don’t remember when Kate Walsh appeared in the early seasons of Grey’s Anatomy, then you probably will recognize the popular actress from other primetime series. 

When she left Grey’s, she went on to star on Private Practice for six years.  More recently she appeared on shows like The Umbrella Academy, Emily In Paris, Bad Judge, and 13 Reasons Why.  

According to Grey’s Anatomy spoilers, Walsh will appear on the January 29th episode of the primetime drama as Dr. Addison Montgomery. 

The doc is actually an OB-GYN, so it will be interesting to see what brings her back for the episode.  Is one of the doctors at Grey Sloan pregnant, or is she returning for one of her former co-worker’s patients?

So far it looks like Kate Walsh’s return will be a brief one an she is only slated to appear in one episode of Grey’s Anatomy next year. 

But seeing as how her character is still practicing medicine, the writers could always decide to bring her back for more storylines in the future.
