Prince Harry Would Have Seen King Charles On His Trip To UK For Invictus Games

Prince Harry Would Have Seen King Charles On His Trip To UK For Invictus GamesAccording to a royal expert, Prince Harry will see his father when he returns to the UK this May for Invictus Games’ 10th anniversary. The last time they saw was in February, shortly after the news of the King’s cancer diagnosis was made public.

If he does see the King, it will mark the second time he’s seen his father face-to-face following his cancer diagnosis and treatments.

Prince Harry’s Relationship With Dad King Charles Labelled “Difficult”

On May 8, Harry will attend a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral as part of the Invictus Games tour.

There, he is expected to give a keynote speech, but it’s unlikely other members of the Royal Family will be showing up to support him, especially brother Prince William who helped launch Invictus Games back in the day.

Harry’s slate of engagements in the UK somehow crashes with the King’s, but ITV’s royal correspondent Chris Ship believes that father and son will rearrange their schedules to meet, but only if Meghan didn’t come along.

Chris Ship told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show: “The relationships are very difficult within that family and I think, yes, it would be a lot easier if Meghan weren’t there. But you know it is still the King’s daughter-in-law and they still have two children who are the King’s grandchildren.”

“You would kind of hope that they would all see each other.”

However, an insider revealed that Meghan has no interest in accompanying her husband back to the UK. But Ship believes it would give the King a “boost” in his cancer recovery journey if he could see his grandchildren, who he hasn’t seen in a long time.

He added: “Wouldn’t it be nice if they did bring the kids and they all went to see granddad, because that would really give him a boost. Just imagine if Harry and Meghan came over with the grandchildren, if he got to see them, or one of them for the very first time. That would be quite something.”

Chris Ship’s comments comes after reports suggest Meghan won’t make the trip because of the cold reception she would likely get.
