But Heather’s case took an unexpected turn when the GH lab delivered results that were contrary to what was expected, and also contrary to what another lab reported.
As repeated testing confirms the GH lab was wrong, it won’t take long for Ric to realize what went wrong and who was responsible. Will Dr. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) be able to skirt her guilt?
Ric was utterly baffled when he got the conflicting test results. He had just returned from prison where he broke the news to Heather that she was never getting out of the pen. The turnabout in this case is tentative right now.
He’s probably not going to raise any red flags at GH until he gets further confirmation that their lab results were faulty.
When he does, we can bet that he’s going to look back on the day that Portia took that blood sample. He and Heather are certain to point fingers at the good doctor right away. But is that enough?

Ric could blast Portia and file a formal complaint with the hospital board for her suspected behavior, but he probably knows it would be an uphill battle proving she did anything untoward.
Instead, he might approach Portia privately in an attempt to negotiate — or rather, strongarm — her into compliance. Ric values having people over a barrel, never knowing when it will come in handy for him.
Having the Co-Chief of Staff at GH in his back pocket — who is also related to the daughter he’s trying so hard to have a relationship with? That can only be a win in his eyes, right?

Just how deep into the weeds will Portia fall with Ric? She’s obviously not going to want this secret to come out. The sheer allegation of it could cost her her career in medicine.
She wouldn’t want her family to know what she’s done either, and there are potential criminal charges involved if Heather wants to take things that far.
Instead, being amenable to Ric’s terms — whatever they may be — will be the lesser of two evils. But how long can he hold this over her head and what will he end up asking for in return? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
