We have watched Faith Newman grow up on The Young and the Restless. At the end of the day, we can’t forget she is Sharon Newman’s daughter. So, there’s a chance she is already battling mental health issues courtesy of her genetics. When you factor in Faith’s non-traditional upbringing and all of the crazy events that have occurred around her while she was growing up, it will honestly be a miracle if Faith isn’t dealing with some sort of issues.
Cameron Kirsten’s brief reign of terror and Faith’s near-death experience could be what pushes the teen over the edge. It’s not a secret that stress and trauma can trigger mental health issues and cause a person to spiral rapidly. If Faith returns to college and is not under the watchful eyes of her family, she could hide her struggles for a while.
You also have to take into consideration that Faith Newman is at college, she has open access to booze, drugs, bad boys, and wild parties. Sharon and Nick Newman’s daughter could go dark and no one would ever know until she comes crawling back to Genoa City. Rumor has it Sharon and Nick may reunite after bonding over Cameron Kirsten, Faith’s parents may be too caught up with their relationship to notice their daughter needs help.
What do you think Y&R fans? Will Faith Newman spiral after being kidnapped by Cameron Kirsten? Should Nick and Sharon let her go back to college? Share your thoughts in the comments below and keep checking back here for more The Young and the Restless spoilers, news, and updates.
