Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate more plot twists in the mystery behind Phyllis Summers’s (Michelle Stafford) “death”. A recent episode reveals that Phyllis is clearly alive and well, which is great news for fans of Red. However, one must wonder if her kids, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will ever forgive their mom for the emotional trauma she’s put them through.

After all, fans learned she was alive when a mysterious figure entered the “hideout” location where she was staying. Viewers are aware that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) is “in” on this plan, so why not show him in this scene? Why keep the identity of whom Phyllis acknowledged, a mystery?

This seems to imply that someone else might be involved. It’s hard not to think that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) isn’t in “the know”. After all, he’s been acting a bit off during all this. If Chance is in the loop about Phyllis and Jeremy’s plan to bring Jenkins down, maybe there’s more to all this. Maybe Diane did something major during her time away from Genoa City that the FBI or CIA is looking to nail her for.

Before Phyllis faked her death, she was on the “outs” with both her kids. Summers is a lot of things, but she wouldn’t do anything to intentionally hurt either Daniel or Summer. In fact, faking her death to bring Diane down isn’t even reason enough for Red to agree to do all this. Jeremy got out of prison in a flash. Perhaps he struck a deal with the D.A. to work undercover to bring Jenkins down. Diane could be far more dangerous since her time away from GC than people realize. Stark and the FBI/CIA could’ve come up with a plan, and Phyllis was brought into the loop, because of her dynamics with Jenkins. As Chance has past super spy connections, and there’s a need to have someone on the GC “force” be a part of things, he was invited to participate. While Daniel and Summer might be a tad upset when they realize they’ve been fooled, if they learn what Phyllis sacrificed to bring Diane (as a major criminal) down, they would undeniably forgive her.
