Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Found Windsor Walkabout Uncomfortable

It looks like Kate Middleton wasn’t the only person who was having a hard time smiling and pretending like everyone was fine on this day. That’s because there’s a new report that says Meghan Markle also found the Windsor walkabout very difficult.

As many royal fans can recall, Prince William, Kate, Prince Harry and Meghan all walked around outside the gates of Windsor Castle to meet with distressed mourners soon after Queen Elizabeth died back in September 2022. But things were very awkward between the two royal couples and for many different reasons, too. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

According to People, the Duchess of Sussex knew that she had a job to do but doing it around certain people sure did make things very difficult. While Kate Middleton has told her circle that the walk with Meghan was “one of the hardest things she’s ever had to do,” Meghan felt the exact same way, but if not for different reasons, too.

One source close to the situation put it this way, “That’s the longest they had ever been away from the kids, and then on top of it, knowing what’s being said out there — it was very difficult.”

Royal Family News – What’s Next For Prince Harry?

Yet, royal expert Robert Jobson adds that he thinks the Duchess of Sussex’s absence from the coronation might actually help Prince Harry repair things with his family. That’s because he’ll have more private time with people like King Charles. He put it this way, “The fact that Meghan’s not there will probably be more advantageous, at least they can speak more freely.”

Jobson also said that while Prince William isn’t very happy about Harry coming to London, “at the end of the day, he is sworn to the King and if the King wants it, he should just get on with it and take orders.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
