GH Spoilers: Spencer And Trina Will Disagree On Esme’s Ability To Be A Mother

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might be a new couple in the world of relationships, but it’s fair to say their friendship leading up to it has afforded them plenty of opportunities to air their grievances toward one another.

When they sit down and attempt to mull over their theories on how to get Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to relinquish custody of her son, Ace Cassadine, they’ll both be surprised to see they don’t see eye to eye.

General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Cassadine Isn’t Who Trina Robinson Thought He Was

Trina and Spencer have gone through some pretty considerable ups and downs already in the short time they’ve known one another. What started out as a lie quickly evolved into the most important relationship Spencer has ever had with a peer.

Trina has brought out a side of Spencer even he didn’t know was in him, and he’s grateful for the moral compass that she often holds up as a beacon to guide him back to himself. However, Esme is also bringing out a familiar side of Spencer, and Trina thought that part of her personality was eradicated.

GH Spoilers – Say Trina Robinson Wants To Take The High Road

Trina still hopes that Spencer will stick to doing things by the book. His uncle, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), is going to make it very tempting to give into his offer to help, which could quite literally wipe Esme off the map.

The idea of having Esme completely out of his hair is appealing to Spencer, but Trina doesn’t think it’s actually what is best for the baby.

Spencer will have a hard time hearing Trina out about Esme being any kind of positive influence in Ace’s life when she won’t even speak to her own mother, who has made a grave mistake but is nowhere near as awful of a person as Esme is.

When Victor throws his hat in the ring and makes Spencer see how easy it would be to just eliminate Esme from the equation, it’s not going to be enough that Trina and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) are hoping he takes the high road. Spencer wants the easy way out.

He wants to default to his old ways and be done with having to consider Esme’s feelings. Just as he chastised her for putting herself ahead of what is really best for Ace, he might do the very same thing in robbing him of the chance to know his mother.
