90 Day Fiancé alum Varya Malina fell deeply in love with Geoffrey Paschel. However, he was sentenced after being found guilty of domestic assault, and more, against a former flame. Next, the news arrived that his appeal against the 18-year sentence failed. Obviously, fans wondered how on earth Varya remained Stateside. How did she get her green card? Well, she now explained it all on social media.

At one stage, TLC fans thought that Geoffrey might actually win his appeal. If you think that Varya doesn’t have fans you’d be wrong. Loads of people admire her strength. Mind you, she did run away from it all for a bit to distract herself from her disappointment. Actually, she gradually reveals quite a lot more about herself than what fans saw in the TLC show.

90 Day Fiancé fans learned how Varya supports herself. Opening up, she explained that she sold her apartment in Russia and pursued a training course on property management. This helps her earn more money to add to her social media earnings. The TLC star takes care of Geoffrey Paschel’s rental properties on his behalf. But, working in the United States legally requires a green card, leading to questions about how she was able to obtain one.

Taking to Instagram, Varya posted up a slide show of past events. In her long caption, she explained, “I came to the US to celebrate Christmas with Geoffrey in 2020. I Got Covid and gave it to him??.” Later, there was trouble in Russia and serious “protests,” so she stayed in the USA.  As she made some disagreeable posts about the Russian president, she was afraid to return.

Other bad news was the fact that the 90 Day Fiance star had ill health. Anyway, things made a massive turn for the better, and she wasn’t aware of it until later. In fact, she did get her card. How? Well, she won the “DV [Diversity Visa] lottery.” Apparently, she had a good stroke of fortune because the chances are “extremely small—from 0.2 to 3.5% (depending on the country you are from).” With everything going on in her life she forgot to check back.
