Y&R spoilers reveal that Adam told Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that he was no longer interested in running Newman Media. Adam was fed up with never being good enough for his family. Once again, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) could do no wrong and got everything handed back to her on a silver platter.

However, Adam wanted to be sure that Sally could keep her job. Adam came up with the crazy idea that Sally could stay as CEO of Newman Media if they broke up.

Adam breaking up with Sally came out of nowhere. Sally was blindsided by it and didn’t believe that Adam meant it. Once Sally got over the initial shock, she speculated that the breakup was Adam’s way of protecting her job. However, Sally’s pleas were ignored and Adam even became cruel to her.

After overhearing Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) question Adam’s motives, Sally stepped in. Sally was positive that this was just one of Adam’s plans. Sally told Adam that her relationship with him mattered more than any job. Sally even passionately kissed Adam. However, all of her efforts failed.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Sally asked Adam to hear her out. Sally said what was on her mind. However, things didn’t go as expected. Sally suddenly announced that she was resigning from Newman Media. In Sally’s mind, that was her proving to Adam how much she loves him.

Adam was shocked and realized his plan was falling apart. However, he also didn’t stop Sally and kiss her. With tears in her eyes, Sally said that the CEO position cost her the only thing she cared about… him.

It’s possible that Sally will be so heartbroken and devastated that she secretly leaves Genoa City. Adam was pretty much the only person that Sally had in her corner consistently in town. Sally also doesn’t have a lot of people banging down their doors wanting to hire her. After all, Sally did a lot of damage to some well-connected families in town.

If Sally suddenly disappears, will Adam realize he went too far? Could Adam try to make things right only to find Sally gone? Will Adam just give up as well or could he try to track her down?
