The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Comes Clean With Nikki – Does She Buy His Story?

The Young and The Restless spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will come clean with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about what really happened with AJ Montalvo (uncast character) all those years ago in Kansas in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!

The Young and The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Didn’t Kill AJ Montalvo But He Did Cover Up What Happened

Victor tells Nikki that he didn’t kill AJ Montalvo but he did cover up what happened to protect someone else. He had been called by Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) that there was a problem at the farm and he needed to get out there right away because it was an emergency. Hope was frantic and she didn’t know what to do. Victor feared something had happened to their son, Adam, at that time going by Adam Wilson (Mark Grossman) but Hope didn’t tell him anything other than Adam was okay physically.

He tells her that Adam’s digging up that past is going to do more harm to Adam than it will to him. He had found Montalvo dead inside the barn, and Hope was blind by that time, and she knew something untoward had happened in the barn but she, of course, didn’t know anything of what happened except she had heard Montalvo, who had been harassing her for unpaid debts on Cliff Wilson’s (uncast character) part after his death, in a fierce argument with Adam, who was around Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) age at the time.

Adam was trying to protect Hope from Montalvo, having heard him harassing her, and then she heard a scream from Montalvo while trying to get to the barn to stop the fight and stumbled over what she knew must have been Montalvo on the floor of the barn, and found a garden spade on the floor next to him and Adam was nowhere to be found; she couldn’t find a pulse and felt what she knew must have been blood on Montalvo’s head and on the business end of the spade! It was at that point she called Victor!

Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman Arrived At The Farm And Went Looking For Adam Wilson After Disposing Of The Spade And Other Evidence

Victor took the Newman jet and upon arriving at the scene, quickly arrived at the conclusion that Adam had, likely accidentally or perhaps in self-defense, killed Montalvo with the spade. He listened to Hope to tell what she heard and what she found and knew her fingerprints would be all over the spade.

Luckily, Montalvo’s head, which had a large gash as well as blunt force trauma, was in a pile of hay so Victor was easily able to burn the hay that had absorbed most of the blood and pulled the body outside and staged it to appear that Montalvo had fallen out of the window of the loft to the ground below and landed with his head on a rock – which Victor had smeared some of the blood over from the hay before burning it, and he disposed of the shovel. He tried to calm Hope down about the still-missing Adam and later found him sitting up in the loft, in a state of shock.

He and Hope took the boy back to the house and Victor called the authorities, and they made up a story that Adam was in shock because he found the body. In those days, and especially in rural areas, police would not try to talk to children as witnesses, especially if they were exhibiting signs of mental trauma; he was checked out physically and Victor did the talking, telling the doctors that he thought Adam possibly had seen Montalvo fall out of the loft but pressured them not to ask the lad a lot of questions.

Of course now, years later, Victor told Nikki it is obvious that Adam blocked out the whole incident. Nikki is shocked and has a much better understanding of why Adam is the way he is, having dealt with post-traumatic stress disorder in Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) after her abusive marriage to JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). Victor reiterates that Adam is only hurting himself and hates to see how he will react when he finds out that He apparently killed his childhood friend’s father!
