The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Daniel Hall could return to the CBS soap opera as Scotty Grainger in the near future. Hall teased that he is always open to returning to the soap and that he was told upon his exit that he could pop in from time to time,

Young And The Restless – Daniel Auditioned For The Role Of Adam Newman

For those Y&R fans who thought Daniel would have made a great Adam, you aren’t completely wrong. Apparently, he auditioned for the part in 2014, He lost to Justin Hartley. However, CBS liked him so much that they wanted him to read for the role of Scott Grainger.

When he arrived for his interview, he went through the script with Sharon Case. He said when he was done, the casting staff were impressed. They touted that he had more chemistry with Case than any other actor on staff. He walked away knowing that he would probably get the part. And, he gained a friend that day too –he and Sharon are still pretty close.

Young And The Restless Was A Hard Gig

Hall said that Y&R was a hard gig for him. He said he had to memorize long scripts and he was working almost constantly. He loved working with Eric Braeden (Victor), Lauren (Tracey Bregman), and Melissa Ordway (Abby).

Daniel noted that Scotty wasn’t supposed to leave Genoa City, but Melissa’s maternity leave created his sudden leave. He was supposed to have a love triangle between Sharon and Abby. But it didn’t work out. Mal young decided to write him out and he told him he would “likely” return.

As for if he would like to return to Young and the Restless, Daniel said he would love to come back. He misses his friends and co-stars. And, most of all, he misses interacting with the fans.
