Ryan had cleverly framed him, implanting false memories in Lulu’s brain through hypnotism, and planting the victims drivers’ licenses in Franco’s art studio. But Ryan didn’t count on Franco’s pleading guilty to the crimes and taking credit for them publicly.
Apparently there will be not only Lulu’s interview, but possibly a media blitz since Franco’s guilty plea because the crimes have become a media sensation.

General Hospital – Will Franco Portray Himself As a Better Killer?
There had already been media reports on the anniversary of Ryan’s crime spree. And perhaps Franco will portray himself as a much better, much darker, killer than Ryan ever was, and possibly even brag about himself.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) will go on and on about “Franco’s dark genius”, according to Jon Lindstrom in Soap Opera Digest. Ryan will fall for the trap, angry that Franco is taking credit for the crimes he framed him for, but also for stealing his thunder.
Then there’s the problem of Ava being impressed by some of what Franco is saying, in spite of not believing he’s even guilty. Ryan will go ballistic and confront Franco in Ferncliff after the interview. He will suspect the guilty plea is part of a deeper strategy, but won’t quite be able to figure out what it is.
