Rex is shocked to see Sarah there in one of Eric’s shirts. Rex says maybe he should have called first and asks if he interrupted something. Sarah questions why Rex is not with Mimi (Farah Fath) and the baby. Rex tells Sarah he wants her. Rex tells Sarah he made a terrible mistake. Rex didn’t fight hard enough to make things work, and he came back to rectify that situation.
Sarah asks Rex if he has given up his child, he says no. Eric tries to leave to let Rex and Sarah talk; she stops him. Sarah tells Rex she didn’t give him a second thought on New Year’s Eve. Sarah admits to not being over Rex. Sarah tells Rex she has strong feelings of wanting to strangle her. Sarah tries to throw Rex out, but he asks Eric if he can stay there. Sarah thanks Eric for dinner and the shirt and tells him she’s not giving hit back as long as Rex is there. Eric looks at Rex. Rex asks if he needs to look for another place to stay, Eric says he can stay there. Rex wants Eric to help him get Sarah back.
Days of Our Lives’ Melinda (Laura Kai Chen) tells Haley (Thia Megia) she needs to move out of her house immediately. Melinda offers to help with Haley’s rent as much as possible. J.J. (Casey Moss) shows up and asks how Haley is doing. J.J. knows she was upset and assumes Melinda was who she was on the phone with before when he overheard the conversation. Melinda calls J.J. a serial eavesdropper.
J.J. tells Melinda he found Haley after her overdose and he’s worried about her. J.J. demands to know how Haley and Melinda are related. Melinda tells J.J. to stop trying to cross-examine her. J.J. tries to get Haley to go for coffee, but she declines. J.J. tells Haley to call him if she wants to talk. Melinda blames Haley for J.J. knowing too much and orders her to fix it. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) finds Sarah at the pub, and she tells her about Rex’s return. Haley shows up at J.J.; she had nowhere else to go.

Days of Our Lives’ Eve (Kassie DePaiva) says she can’t be bought any longer and throws the contract in the trash. Kayla calls Steve (Stephen Nichols) and tells him about Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) arrest. Kayla hopes that the FBI are wrapping up their case and he will be home soon. Eve walks up and tells Kayla that Jack (Matthew Ashford) is missing. Kayla hangs up after telling Steve to call her back.
Eve tells Kayla that she and Jack had plans and he disappeared. Kayla tells Eve that Jack probably wanted to get away from her. Eve tells Kayla about Chad’s (Billy Flynn) job offer, but she is turning it down. Kayla tells Eve it’s obvious why she came back to Salem. Kayla tells Eve she gets hurt every time she comes back and suggests she break the cycle. Kayla tells Eve as long as she is in Salem she will be reminded of Paige’s (ex-True O’Brien) death, especially since Ben is in town.
J.J. joins them and Eve asks if he has seen Jack. J.J. tells Eve Jack is with Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) alone. Eve rushes off to find Jack. J.J. asks Kayla if she thinks Eve will find his parents, she believes it’s possible. Kayla asks J.J. if he knows anything about Haley. J.J. suggest that Haley is having family problems. Haley shows up at J.J.; she had nowhere else to go.
Days of Our Lives’ Abby (Kate Mansi) shows up to speak to Chad. Chad apologizes to Abby for planning the dinner. Abby asks why Chad couldn’t be honest with her. Abby tells Chad that she knows he paid Jack off. Chad says Jack wasn’t supposed to tell her that. Chad asks how the dinner went, and she tells him it was pretty good at first. Chad tells Abby he offered Eve a job n Paris to give her parents a chance to work things out. Abby tells him she knew it wouldn’t last with her parents tonight and it’s the same for their little family.
Chad tells Abby they can be a family and tells her how much he loves her and can’t deny that. Chad and Abby kiss and she breaks it off. Abby tells Chad they have to rebuild their trust. Chad is willing to work on it, Abby doesn’t know if she is. Abby says she broke his trust by sleeping with Stefan. Chad says he doesn’t blame Abby; she knows he does. Chad tells Abby that he walked out when she needed him the most. Chad tells Abby he knows he has to win her trust again.
Abby tells Chad about her visit from Melinda. Abby tells Chad she’s not cooperating with Melinda because she knows he loves her and thought he was doing what is best. Chad tells Abby she said she understood. Abby brings up Chad taking her child and locking her up. Chad is glad that Abby is ok and that Charlotte is theirs. Chad asks if Abby is willing to try to work through things. Abby tells Chad she’s not ready to get back together, but maybe someday she will be. Chad offers Abby coffee and to talk, she declines. Abby has to get back to the kids; Chad asks her to kiss them goodnight for him. Abby thanks Chad for dinner, it meant a lot to her and said she would see him soon. Abby hesitates before leaving but goes home.
Days of Our Lives’ Jack asks Jennifer how they were before, and they both quote the same verse again. Jennifer believes they can rebuild what they had before, Jack disagrees. Jack questions why Jennifer would want someone like him. Jennifer deserves better than a rapist, she disagrees. Jack thinks he could be with someone more like him, like Eve.
Jennifer tells Jack about his abusive father and his adoptive father. Jennifer tells Jack that his childhood was a reason for his actions and he fought those demons. Jennifer tells Jack he went to therapy and paid his dues to society. Jennifer tells Jack that he supported her after her rape and that is what got her through it. Jennifer tells Jack that he got them through Abby’s sickness as well. Jennifer tells him he has a crazy sense of humor. Jennifer tells Jack she’s not letting him run away again.
Jennifer says she knows Jack hasn’t forgotten their love and begged him to listen to his heart. Jennifer tells Jack how much she loves him and how she wants to kiss him. They move to kiss and Eve walks in the door. Jennifer asks what Eve is doing there. Eve tells Jack he shouldn’t have stood her up for dinner. Eve pushes Jack to leave with her, Jennifer begs him to come home with her. Jack tells Jennifer he was only there for the money and leaves with Eve.
