Carla Connor is set to play a role of someone whose mental health is on the rocks, Coronation Street spoilers tease.

The show embarks on a huge stunt come 2019, depicting a destructive collapse of a factory’s roof, which will lead to a catastrophic impact on the people, including the death of one Weatherfield resident.

Circulating teasers point to Carla’s mental health which will be greatly affected by such an aftermath. In fact, Carla’s mental health plot will be a stand-alone episode, even a whodunit storyline.

What was too cliché for the viewers will now be replaced by something ‘new’, and this is probably what Coronation Street’s show producer is trying to fill in. The pilot part of this upcoming episode will portray an outcast Carla while the rest of the portions will be focused solely on Carla’s character. It just goes without saying that Carla will be featured for the most part, and it’s going to be a serious drama this time.

Coronation Street Spoilers – An Old Face Returns

Meanwhile, an old character will return to Coronation Street, one spoilers source says. Since the collapse will kill a resident, Ian Macleod, the CS new producer, is brilliant enough to think of another character that could be involved in the plot.

In an interview with Metro, Macleod speaks of an investigation to be done after the incident, and this old character that he’s bringing back assumes the role of the safety and health investigator. Although he didn’t mention who this person is, he confirmed in the same interview that this character will surely interest avid viewers who have been following the show for years already.

Speculations say that it’s Jim but Macleod clarified that he’s not. He also falsified the rumors about someone from the McDonald picture who’ll play the role, but he could be from the clan.

Of course, Macleod holds back some information about the new storyline. He only shared that the show has a good casting this time.
