Fallon has been playing her character Bethany Platt since 2015. A lot of her fans were sad to see her leave, as she has often been hailed as one of the best actresses in the British prime-time soap world.

Thankfully there are new reports that suggest Fallon’s exit is just a temporary one as she might be returning sooner than we think!

Fallon herself even suggested that Bethany’s story isn’t over yet and that she’s got so much more work ahead of her.

“When I leave I’ll have been there for five years, and I’ve never done anything else… But I’ll end up going back – I’ll be back,” Fallon told Britain’s Express.

And while a lot of Coronation Street stars have been leaving the soap for personal and professional reasons, it appears as though for Fallon it’s nothing more than just a schedule adjustment. There’s speculation that she might star in an upcoming season of the popular dancing competition show Strictly Come Dancing.

“Lucy is a huge fan of Strictly and was invited to watch last year’s live show in Blackpool. When Strictly bosses realized she was keen, they told her she’d have to quit Corrie because of its ban on deals,” a source told The Sun.

“Fallon took the plunge as she knows her acting career has more opportunities ahead than sticking around in Weatherfield. Talks have started between her representatives and Strictly bookers. Some male dancers already want to partner her.”

Either way, we cannot wait to see Lucy Fallon in action. Her fans will definitely cheer her on the dance floor and of course, welcome her back to Weatherfield when she’s ready to return home. So far Fallon herself has not made any comments about the report.
