Liam wanted to know what lead to Steffy’s quick adoption of Phoebe. She explains that her mother was friends with Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) who knew someone in Vegas that recently had a baby she planned to give away. B&B spoilers say that Taylor Haynes (Hunter Tylo) arranged for Steffy to meet the birth mother, Flo, and from there, she adopted the sweet newborn.

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that Liam feels like the timing is strange. It was right after his daughter was born and Reese delivered his baby. It isn’t clear if he suspects it could be his child or not, he just feels there is something off about the story.

Of course, he doesn’t tell Steffy he thinks her adoption story has holes in it. He cannot bring himself yet to tell her that it sounds like she didn’t adopt but bought a baby from the black market.

At first, his hunch is that Flo may not be the birth mom and that he used her to pose as the mom to fool Steffy. He is right on the money on that assumption, but the truth is far more involved than that.

The concerned ex decides to call Vegas hospital that is listed on Phoebe’s adoption records to confirm that she was born there. B&B spoilers say that he puts a call to the doctor that allegedly delivered her and asked for a return call to talk about Flo’s delivery.

When the doctor returns his call during the week of July 22, he begins to question the whole adoption story. He finds out that Flo was never delivered a baby there. In fact, there is no record of Flo every being a patient of the hospital.
