Young And The Restless Spoilers: Eric Braeden Says Goodbye To Newman Ranch, Teases New Y&R Setting

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans have voiced their opinions about the new CBS sets. They loved the ranch living room and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) office and had noticed that the sets appeared to be gone. Of course, this change could mean something even better is coming, right?

Sets Retired on Young And The Restless

Eric Braeden confirmed on his Twitter account that the ranch and Victor’s office sets were retired and will not appear on the show again. A few people were happy with the change, especially Victor’s office being gone, but most were upset with the change.

Braeden went on to say CBS destroyed them to make room for other sets—better sets. One set that was built recently was Nick’s new house. It is a nice set, but Victor’s office and the ranch’s living room are iconic sets. It’s not a huge surprise the fans are rattled by the change.

Young And The Restless News – Better Sets Coming?

Eric wrote on social media that he realizes it’s upsetting the viewers to see the ranch being engulfed in another fire, but it will be okay. He reassured the fans that better sets were coming—teasing that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor would have a bigger and better home. He teased that, “maybe the ranch house will be bigger and better than ever before.”

A Sign Y&R Is Sinking?

Of course, there were some fans who believed this set change was just an indication that the soap opera is sinking. They wondered how long the show can go on with reduced ratings and now, losing some of the iconic sets. They suggested the Y&R could be the next daytime drama to face cancelation.

It’s important to point out that Young and the Restless is the top performing soap opera. Even at the worst ratings, they’ve seen in quite a while, they still have millions of viewers per day. The soap is going anywhere, any time soon.
