The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Shick’s San Diego Move Blocked – Victor Uses Legal System

Victor (Eric Braeden) wasn’t about to let his first-born son take his grandson to sunny San Diego on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) plan for him, Sharon (Sharon Case), and the kids to move to California is being blocked.

Nick received a surprising job offer. A lady who heads a nonprofit foundation wants him to take over for her because she’s stepping down. The position wouldn’t be based in the middle of the country, where this show is said to be set. Instead, the reconstituted ‘Shick’ family would need to move to the west coast, which is desirable to Nick due to ongoing Newman family problems.

Conniving individuals hide behind lawyers. They pay barristers to do their bidding. Such is the case with the ever-vindictive ‘Moustache’ who is suing for custody of Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen).

The latest daddy-son drama resulted unexpectedly, for the characters involved. Seasoned Genoa City observers were skeptical that Victor’s truce with Nick would last and it didn’t. The measure of detente was approximately four scripts.

Christian is Adam’s (Justin Hartley) son of Sage (Kelly Sullivan). Sullivan’s character is likely dead, but Adam’s life force remains in doubt. Without a body having been found by Paul’s (Doug Davidson) men in September 2016, speculative thoughts about Victor Junior’s demise will rightly persist.

Nick overreacted when his dad referenced Christian’s paternity. Both men didn’t know that the other was aware of the little boy’s biology. It must also be stated that Victor’s choice to press that reveal button was intended to provoke the son he doesn’t fully value.

Family loyalty involves Victor always having the deciding vote. The head of the Newman clan has never truly learned that his loved ones aren’t employees.

Following through with this developing legal challenge to Christian’s rights can serve to push Y&R’s storyline in many directions, including improving odds that the Adam character could be resurrected. Yes, it is reasonable to think that this could be a part of the long game within this storyline. And if it’s not, the engaging drama between Victor and Nick will be offered to suffice.
