The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Graham Must Go – Jack and Ashley Fight For Dina

Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) need to focus on ‘The Young and the Restless’. It’s not productive to fight with a sibling during a period of family crisis. The battling Abbott’s must put their business disagreements aside and fight for Dina (Marla Adams), who’s under Graham’s (Max Shippee) legal control.

The direction of this family battle must change now that it’s been revealed Graham’s marriage to Dina actually happened. Instead of arguing with each other about who should be the Chief Executive Officer at Jabot, Jack and Ashley must work with Michael (Christian Le Blanc) to overcome the obvious fraud Mr. Bloodworth perpetrated.

Viewers didn’t know until this week about the nuptials. Y&R confirmed that Graham secretly married Dina after he took her to Florida last fall. Shippee’s quick write-out didn’t feel like a cast exit and it didn’t prove to be.

As hardcore fans recall, Dina suffered what was termed a mini-stroke after the public blowout at the Top of the Tower. That event was supposed to recognize Ashley’s Innovator of the Year award. Instead it turned into a fiasco, where Graham publicly admitted to seeking revenge against Dina. As Ashley also recalls, that’s where her mother informed the world that Brent Davis (Bert Kramer) was her real father.

Jack and Ashley trailed Graham to the Sunshine State after he unexpectedly took her from Genoa City Memorial Hospital. The medical power of attorney reveal he offered seemed diabolical, but has come to be seen as just one more part of his scheme to get Dina’s money.

Michael’s legal arguments will center upon a pattern of behavior involving Graham’s intent to dupe Dina. As Madame Mergeron’s journal showed, he systematically engrained himself into her life in France. He became her main heir through a will change last summer and then went on from there.

Some way, somehow Graham must go. The Abbott family and its lawyer represent Dina’s only hope of survival. Time presses though, as Graham previously left Dina for dead. A sequel attempt could surely be in the offing.
