The Young and the Restless Spoilers Tuesday, January 23: Mariah Threatens To Sue Devon – Hilary’s Date Disaster – Reed Causes a Battle

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Tuesday, January 23, tease that Devon (Bryton James) will worry about Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) complaints. In his office, Devon insists that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) needs to handle this. There’ll be major PR issues if she can’t get Mariah under control.

Tessa meets up with Mariah and ultimately admits to stealing the journal. She suggests that she wanted to see what Mariah was thinking. Tessa’s been dealing with the same feelings, but nothing has changed as far as their relationship goes. She still doesn’t want a romance, but she asks Mariah to let this go for the sake of her career.

Mariah marches out and finds Sharon (Sharon Case). She vents before tracking down Devon. Mariah warns that she’ll move forward with a lawsuit if Devon releases this song. Back with Sharon, she fumes when she sees Tessa. Sharon vows to watch Tessa closely from now on.

Meanwhile, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) causes more issues for his parents. Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) concerned when Reed bails on his community service assignment. J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) eventually finds Reed at the coffeehouse and scolds him for going missing. Sharon butts in briefly and gets updates on their problems. She hopes this family can find a way to come together.

Later, J.T. and Victoria make that very suggestion to Reed. They admit they’ve reunited and are living under one roof. Victoria and J.T. want Reed to join them. Once Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) show up, they learn J.T. has moved in. They’re not exactly thrilled, but they want to concentrate on their grandson for now.

Nikki and Victor think Reed should continue living at the ranch. J.T. pushes for Reed to be home with his mom and dad. Afterward, J.T. takes prescription pills alone. Victoria soon rejoins him and gets some reassurance. J.T. promises that it’ll all work out.

At the athletic club, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) get ready for a double date. Since Phyllis has set Hilary (Mishael Morgan) up with Ravi (Abhi Sinha), Billy suggests that they’re not a good fit. Phyllis disagrees, so they make a bet on whether there’ll be a second date.

Once Hilary and Ravi arrive, Phyllis tries to get some sparks flying. She manages to do it, but Billy puts out the flame. He brings up Hilary’s desire to have a baby, so Ravi bows out. Being a father is too much for Ravi to handle at the moment.

Fortunately, Hilary’s not bothered by the evening’s outcome. She insists she wants a kid more than a man, so she’s moving forward with her goal. Billy also gives Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) some guidance in Tuesday’s episode. She talks about how Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) new project is keeping him busy. Billy points out that communication is key and urges Chelsea to make the effort.

At the penthouse, Nick returns from handling some drama at the homeless center. Chelsea makes it clear that lovemaking’s on her mind. She gets flirty and they start stripping down for sex. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Chelsea and Nick should enjoy the peace while it lasts. Major trouble’s brewing down the road.
