The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Peter Bergman Opens Up About Jack’s Father Struggles

The Young and the Restless spoiler indicate that Jack is still struggling with the possibility that he might not be the son of John Abbott. As a matter of fact, actor Peter Bergman, who plays Jack on the hit CBS show, says that there is going to be a lot of internal reshuffling at not only Jabot but within the Abbott clan now that his television sister Eileen Davidson (Ashley is gone).

For both Jack and Ashley, it has always been about power and who is the better CEO of their family’s empire. And for Jack to not even have a hint of Abbott blood in his veins is throwing everyone and everything off.

Peter told CBS Soaps in Depth an interview, “Mal hinted at it and I eventually realized, ‘Oh, that’s what he’s talking about. At first, I was kind of, ‘Are you serious?!’ and I think that the audience had the same reaction of, ‘Come on, Jack’s an Abbott. You can’t take that away from him!’ Then, it turned into an interesting question of, ‘Who is he without that?’ Being an Abbott is absolutely central to who Jack is. You name some other character who cares more about his father than Jack Abbott.”

But if there is something we know for certain, it’s that Jack will still search for his biological father, no matter how long it takes. Peter added, “He is determined to find his roots. He has a few other things with that coming up in the next couple of weeks.”
