General Hospital Spoilers: Will Scully’s Letters Save Sonny Corinthos?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Joe Scully’s (Robert Miano) love letters to Jeannette Marino ( Ely Pouget) might just help Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) get dogged DA Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) off his back, at least temporarily.

Since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) literally stole them out of Jeannette’s house and they were obtained without a warrant, they may not hold up in court but maybe she’ll just copy them and she and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will make a return visit to Jeannette so she can put them back where they were!

Scully’s letters to his mistress over the years, once copied and read, may explain a lot of things that Sonny and Jason (Steve Burton) can present to Margaux. Of course, her first response might be filing a warrant for breaking and entering because of how the letters were obtained to begin with, or to claim they must be fake!

After all, as her mother corroborated, little Margaux practically worshipped the ground he walked on! Margaux may be thrown for a loop with the truth about her mother being Scully’s mistress as well, and may be too shocked to ask her about it! But she’ll have to move on from being a cute little girl with a kitten like she was in a picture in her mom’s house to putting her big girl panties on and just dealing with the truth she’s being dealt!

Among other secrets the love letters may hold could be something that Sonny can use to shift the blame away from himself for the hit on Vincent Marino. Maybe Scully had him killed at the behest of Jeannette; and he may have written “I took care of Vinnie for you, doll!” or something similar. That would be ambiguous enough to shift more blame to Scully and Margaux may be convinced of what would be considered reasonable doubt if it were in court, even though none of the information in the letters would be admissible in a court of law.

General Hospital viewers can only imagine what scenes between Margaux and her mother might be concerning what looked like years of love letters all tied up in a bow. We can bet this storyline is not near to being tied up though, and certainly not in a neat little bow like the letters!
