General Hospital Spoilers: Is Mayor Janice Lomax Gone For Good?

General Hospital hasn’t seen Major Janice Lomax in a very long time. That’s because she’s behind bars following the aftermath of the election scandal. But does this mean that she is gone for good? Not quite so.

Actress Shari Belafonte (who is married to ex-Jake actor Sam Behrens) has kept very quiet about her character. The last time fans saw her she was having lunch with Paul Hornsby about how they could take down Sonny Corinthos. She was also assaulted by Olivia Falconeri over a breastfeeding dispute and threatened to have Julian Jerome put under surveillance last year. In other words, Major Janice Lomax didn’t mess around.

Unfortunately, Mayor Janice struggled to get Olivia to drop her lawsuit against her. She even went to Dante’s apartment to try and talk some sense into Olivia. Although, her worst crime was when she tampered with the mayoral election votes with the help of Kyle Sloane and Nikolas Cassadine. Yet fans can’t help but wonder how long Mayor Janice will be behind bars. And that’s the same question that Shari Belafonte has been asking, too.

Shari even told ABC Soaps in Depth, “I’m happy to be on General Hospital. It’s a really fun show and really fun people. I am fully ready to come back, whenever they want me.”

Either way, fans will just have to tune in to see what will happen next. Of course, it would be nice if Jake Meyer could get her out of jail, right? There’s a good possibility that Mayor Janice Lomax will be back in Port Charles in no time!
