General Hospital Rumor: Nelle’s Final Undoing – Discovers Ryan’s Secret, Tries To Blackmail Him For Her Freedom!

General Hospital rumors tease that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) got from Pentonville to Ferncliff via none other than “Dr. Kevin Collins” aka Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom)! He probably knows all about Nelle from the sessions that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) has had with him, and probably from her case files. It may come to light that not only has “Kevin” been moonlighting at Ferncliff, but also at Pentonville, so that’s how he was able to pull off the transfer.

Ryan could even be impressed with Nelle’s “skills” and admire her manipulative personality. After all, she’s pulled off cons nearly equal to his own in cunning, and she’s murdered at least once. But now that she has busted thanks to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) witnessing, she’s on the fast track back to Pentonville and she’s mad!

After all, playing the crazy card and scoring a transfer to Pentonville, where it’s much easier to escape was her goal…and she probably counted on “Dr. Kevin” to help her do it. Or she may have thought he could help get her charges thrown out by appealing her case and his testifying that she was insane and didn’t know what she was doing when she killed her fiancé and framed Carly for assault. And you can bet Nelle’s got another trick up her sleeve on her way to freedom….blackmailing Ryan!

Even though Nelle was in Ferncliff for only a short time, she may have learned some vital information that she could hold over “Kevin’s” head….she may have discovered he’s really his twin Ryan. She knows to impersonate a doctor (even though he was a pediatrician) can cause someone to do a lot of time if it’s found out, and then there’s identity theft. His medical license probably lapsed years ago so practicing medicine without a license could be added on. Kidnapping would be another since he basically kidnapped Kevin and stole his life.

The trouble is, she most likely doesn’t know what Ryan Chamberlain is all about or anything about his previous murder spree unless she’s had access to computers or printed media. Most psychiatric patients don’t because so many can be upset by news events. She just thinks he’s a sneaky evil twin of Kevin’s that no one knew about…the family secret people keep in their closets…or rubber room, in this case. Nelle may try to blackmail Ryan with what she knows in exchange for his intervention in getting her into Ferncliff again and then either getting her discharged or helping her escape.

Ryan won’t stand for blackmail or leverage from Nelle….if she knows who he is and that he took over Kevin’s life and imprisoned him in Ferncliff, then she knows too much. And we all know what happened to the last woman who knew too much and tried to blackmail him! Will this be Nelle’s final undoing? Will she go out with a bang, or will Ryan “get ahead” of things again in getting rid of her?
