The Young and the Restless (YR) Spoilers: Phyllis Claims She’ll Stay With Billy – Jack Plays Strong Game

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is standing on weak ground on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She knows that Billy (Jason Thompson) betrayed her, but told Jack (Peter Bergman) that she’d stand by him. Meanwhile, the head of Jabot and her former husband continues to play a strong waiting game.

Whether Jack actually wants Phyllis back, or if she’d go to him, is debatable on both ends. However, the seemingly inevitable end of ‘Philly’ has been teed up via the current corporate espionage arc.

Who would want to believe that their significant other had violated trust and on a business issue no less? That’s where Billy Abbott, the lout, enters the scene. His reputation proceeded him, but Phyllis didn’t want to listen.

Billy has a way of mesmerizing people. He makes guys believe that he can do something for them. Remember the Professional Hockey League deal? He also convinces women, who are his romantic targets, that he’s adorable. But looks are only skin deep.

Dina (Marla Adams) found Billy to be very charming. Some of that had to do with the glint she saw in his eyes, which reminded her of John (Jerry Douglas). But she’ll soon learn that Billy’s beads reflect Jill’s (Jess Walton) jaded soul.

The use of Dina’s password, which has since been changed, enabled Billy to access Jabot’s server via Phyllis’ corporate laptop. Ravi (Abhi Sinha) later traced the source of the security breach and Jack instantly tagged Billy as the criminal.

Phyllis didn’t want to confirm that Billy was guilty, but she did. Then, in an act of total compassion, she told Billy to leave Brash and Sassy. Phyllis’ principled choice to maintain Jack’s confidence, while also urging her current love to stop himself was solid soap.

Billy rejected the plea and continues to rationalize what he’s doing. But neither half of ‘Philly’ seems capable of maintaining their fronts for long. As Jack waits for the collapse, this always controversial couple seems certain to be undone by competitive cosmetics’ plans.
