The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Cane Onboard With Jack’s Plan – Brash and Sassy Takedown Mission

Cane (Daniel Goddard) is currently out of work on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But that might not last long. After listening to Jack’s (Peter Bergman) voice mail message, Cane met with the man who might be his new boss.

The meeting was multilevel, as Jack allowed Cane to mouth implied motives where Brash and Sassy was concerned. The coy Mr. Abbott fancies himself as better than the ‘Moustache’ (Victor, Eric Braeden), but consistently employs similar methods.

Jack needs to speak with Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and some other unseen Jabot players before making a formal offer. But the pre-game plan has been set.

When the job offer comes and is accepted, Cane will be expected to reveal corporate secrets about his former employer. But there is one fine point that Mr. Ashby failed to tell Jack when they spoke.

As Y&R fans know, Cane paid a money-hungry videographer to follow Billy (Jason Thompson) around at the DARE commercial shoot in Los Angeles. The payoff also included work that was done to splice footage, which made it look like the younger Abbott brother was suggesting that two Professional Hockey League players should bet money on the Final. That’s a big no-no.

Cane’s mistake with Juliet (Laur Allen) has been fully revealed, which cost him his job, damaged his marriage, his relationship with his children and appeared to confirm that he’ll be a dad again sometime around Christmas. But what he did to Billy has remained hidden.

Imagine what happens to whatever Jabot is doing to Brash and Sassy when Cane’s cutthroat actions against Billy are inevitably exposed? Then consider how Lily (Christel Khalil) will feel when she realizes that her own husband purposely wrecked her modeling comeback shoot. And how will Juliet, who was fired by Vickie (Amelia Heinle) because she hadn’t fully cleared use of Cane’s manipulated footage, respond to the father of her baby?

This second shoe drop might cost Cane a second job. More importantly, it would likely seem to end ‘Lane’ for good and create a new set of problems with Juliet.
