The Young and the Restless (YR) news and rumors recently have indicated that Michael Muhney, who was formerly known as Adam Newman ,was to return to the CBS Soap Opera.

After all the speculation and teasing for many weeks by viewers and fans, the actor finally took to twitter on June 27 and posted a response to a fan who expressed her enthusiasm in seeing Michael back in Genoa City as Adam Newman.
Muhney responded to her tweet by making it clear by stating “There is no return to Y&R at this point. But who knows what the future holds?”

This news is sure to disappoint many viewers since there has been rumors buzzing on social media for quite some time, but it seems Muhney has put those rumors to bed, so to speak.
However, Muhney did not rule out the possibility all together, he did indicate that he would be open to the possibility at returning to his role as Adam Newman sometime in the future, it just doesn’t seem to be in the works at the present time.
Muhney added to that tweet by encouraging his followers and fans to “Think positive and Stay positive!” so it certainly seems like a sure possibility in the near future but his return will not be happening right away. Michael Muhney promised his fans on social media that would he return in the role as Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless at any point, he will tell us where and when so rest assured that when and if that does happen- Muhney will keep his fans well informed.
