‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Burgess Jenkins Announces Wife Is Now Cancer Free!

‘The Young and the Restless’ alum Burgess Jenkins [Ex-Billy Abbott] is rejoicing today as his wife is now cancer free. “6 mos ago w grace, faith, humor & unending strength she put the gloves on & fought. today shes cancer free #warrior” shared Jenkins on Twitter.

When it was announced that Jenkins was leaving Y&R back in November, 2015 fans wondered why. He later revealed the reason he decided to leave. His wife, Ashlee Jenkins was diagnosed with breast cancer around that time. Due to this he was unable to travel between East and West coasts while taking care of her.

Now Jenkins is reporting happily that his wife is safe. She is no longer at a risk of losing her life except she has to undergo radiation and chemotherapy. We are happy for both Burgess and Ashlee! Since exiting Y&R Jenkins taped the film ‘The Reason‘ which will be released soon. He also has plans to do some directing. Burgess last aired as Billy Abbott in January of this year after taking over the role from David Tom in 2014. Jenkins appeared in a total of 112 episodes of ‘The Young and the Restless’.
