‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) News: Greg Rikaart Lands Role On TNT’s Major Crimes

“Young and the Restless” Greg Rikaart landed a prime-time TV role, according to On Air On Soaps on Monday. No one can deny that he is one of the most talented actors in the business, and now he will be appearing in multiple episodes of TNT’s “Major Crimes.” It is a great opportunity for him to spread his acting wings, just a little- and to prove he is much more than a soap opera star.

His role looks like an exciting one- Billy Monroe- who is described as a young attorney and anti-capital punishment advocate. He was brought on to defend Slider (Garett Coffey) who is waiting for his murder trial to begin. He has been accused of killing Alice Herrera. He is scheduled to appear in the second half of season four.

Rest assured “Young and the Restless” fans, Greg made sure to point out that he will not leave the soap, instead he will appear on both shows. “Major Crimes” recently extended the fourth season which is air on Nov. 2.

Fans reacted on social media to the news of his new gig. Most of the fans are excited to see him in a role other than Kevin Fisher. One fan posted they hoped he can make the show watchable again (“Major Crimes”). We know Greg Rikaart will be successful in any role he is in. Soap Opera Spy will update his air date as soon as it becomes available.
