‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R): Neil’s Dilemma – Protect Himself or Get Hilary Help and Save Devon

“Young and the Restless” spoilers are in; Soap Opera Digest reported on last week that Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) is alive, but not doing very well. Neil (Kristoff St. John) found her in the water, rescued her, and brought her to his boat house. He had no idea that the police would suspect that Devon may have killed her on their honeymoon. Will Devon find her in time?

Neil confronted Hilary on the hike with the revelation that Devon could have been unfaithful to her. He wanted them to suffer like he did when he learned of her infidelity. She didn’t believe it and told him it was a fake. No one knows what led to her falling over the cliff into the water- except Neil. He found her and brought her to Wisconsin to care for her.

Neil is in quite a jam right now. He knows that if he comes forward with information about Hilary’s whereabouts- he will be suspected. He knows that if the police find out he has her hidden; he will spend the rest of his life in prison. His anguish is further deepened when Devon was charged with her murder- a murder that never happened.

In fact, Pratt said that Neil’s need for revenge is gone. He only cares about his family remaining intact. He is worried that Hilary will not make it, and Devon will never forgive him for taking her from him. Neil sees Hilary as his only chance. He knows she must wake up.

Neil at no time wanted his revenge plot to get to this point. He doesn’t want Devon charged with murder- a murder that never happened. And, to complicate the situation Neil cannot help Devon because if he does it will implicate him. His only hope is Hilary will wake up and remember what happened to vindicate him from any wrongdoing.

As Neil gets low on medical supplies, he knows he needs to find someone that will help him with her care. If she dies, he will never be able to redeem himself. Will he find someone he can trust to help him with her care? Is it possible that Victor will find out his secret and expose Neil’s lies to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and his family- including Devon?
