‘The Young and the Restless’ News: Writer Jean Passanante Confirms Exit From Y&R

Jean Passanante, writer for daytime hit soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” since 2013, has recently revealed that she is no long writing the stories for the residents of Genoa City.

When a follower tweeted her saying “Came to Twitter as a Y&R fan. Stayed as a Jean Passanante fan. Thank you for using your platform to spread love not hate,” the writer responded by saying, “And, I’m not longer with Y&R so I’m glad you’re still with me!”

Jean Passanante is best known for her work on daytime soap operas, and has been writing for shows such as All My Children, As The World Turns, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, and many more.

She was the current Breakdown writer for The Young and the Restless when she left for undisclosed reasons.

Fans fled to Twitter to show their support as soon as they saw her tweet out the news. One fan writes, “Very sad to hear that @PFossil has left #YR. Loved her tenure with @MichelleAltman1 as head writer and was enjoying her breakdowns too.”

Another fan simply wrote, “Sorry to hear you’re no longer at #YR,” to which Passanante responded “Thank you. I appreciate you reaching out.”
