The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Devon Surprises Mariah with Romantic Date – How Will Hilary React?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that many fans are finally getting their wish.  Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has finally saw the light when it comes to his conniving ex-wife, Hilary (Mishael Morgan); after she had destroyed his family among dozens of others in Genoa City.

What Y&R viewers have been hoping for is Devon to take notice of the beautiful red-headed bombshell, Mariah Copeland (Camry Grimes); the one who has stood by him through everything Hilary has thrown at him and done to him.

 We all know Mariah isn’t a saint either, remember how she arrived in town to pretend to be her dead twin sister, Cassie to put Sharon McAvoy (Sharon Case) into the psychiatric facility; but much has changed since then. 

The Young and the Restless’ Mariah had been through a lot in her young life, including being forced to marry cult leader, Ian Ward (Ray Wise).  Mariah’s love life has been seriously lacking since she arrived, but it looks like things are about to change for the better.  

Newly divorced Devon invites Mariah out for dinner; she expects it to be a casual dinner between friends, but when Devon pulls out all the stops; taking her to the fanciest restaurant in town, pulls out her chair for her to sit, she begins to wonder if this is an actual date.  Of course, everything is amazing, the meal and the company; but are they really expecting things to run this smoothly for them considering his ex-wife Hilary is still very much in love with him?   

Y&R seems to have flipped the switch when it comes to Hilary and Mariah.  Hilary has been known as the “mean girl”, the vindictive one who will hurt and use anyone who gets in her way; including destroying Mariah’s mother, Sharon and Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton), using them as stepping stones in her career.

Who wouldn’t want to rub their relationship with her ex in her face?  That is exactly what Mariah is going to do, it will be little digs here and there, making Hilary angry.  Mariah may have never intended to start a relationship with someone she considered a best friend; but it seems to be happening naturally, she just better watch because we all know what happens when you poke a bear too much.
