“The Young and the Restless” star, extremely talented Eric Braeden has been chosen to be this week’s Man Crush Monday. For a man his age, he definitely still has it!

Eric Braeden was born on April 3, 1941 in Bredenbek, Germany. Interestingly, he was born as Hans- Jorg Gudegast and emigrated to the USA in 1959.
Braeden accumulated many television and film roles during his first two decades in America and guest starred in 120 roles, with all his earlier credits being under his birth name. So as you can see he is definitely a very talented man.

In 1980 Eric Braeden was offered the role of a self-made business magnate Victor Newman on the CBS daytime soap “The Young and the Restless” which was only suppose to be a 26-week run, but he is still there to this present day.
And we are very thankful for that, because Y&R would not be the same without him. In February 2017, Eric celebrated his 37th Anniversary of being with the show! That is definitely some commitment!
Eric Braeden is in great shape and takes really good care of himself. He is 76 years old, but does not look a day over 50. Back in his younger days he won the German National Team Championship in Track and Field and went on to win the National Challenge Cup as a fullback with the Jewish American soccer club Maccabi Los Angeles.
You could also find him at the Hoover Street and Broadway gyms showing off his boxing skills. As you all know, we have caught a glimpse of that on Y&R. When the Great Victor Newman gets mad, he uses boxing to blow off some steam!
