Eastenders Actor Paul Nicholls Nearly Died After Spending Three Days Trapped in WaterfallA former Eastenders fan favorite is dealing with a major health setback right now. New reports say actor Paul Nicholls is seriously ill and in the hospital after having spent three days trapped in the foot of a waterfall.

Local reports say that the police launched a huge rescue operation. Paul was eventually found semi-conscious and suffering from hypothermia. He has also contracted a serious illness.

Paul told Britain’s The Sun newspaper via telephone, “I’m lucky to be alive I had a phone with me but I fell from such a height into the water it was unretrievable. It took such a long time to find me. It’s an understatement to say it wasn’t a great situation. It wasn’t that I was lost. The problem was I couldn’t move to get out of there. I’ve got a broken leg and I’m missing a kneecap. It needs complete reconstruction.”

Paul was visiting Thailand on vacation. In addition to Eastenders, he has also starred in Law & Order and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
