Coronation Street Spoilers: Claire King Quits Corrie As Kevin and Erica Heat Up

Will Erica Holroyd’s (Claire King) rumored affair with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) be the death of her on “Coronation Street?” King has just announced she’s leaving the ITV sudser, leading to speculation about how her character exits the cobbles! After a three-year run on the popular show, King will take her leave this summer in order to spread her acting wings.

The talented actress is simply ready for new challenges, and who can blame her? In a recent statement, King paid tribute to the show saying, “It’s been a dream come true to tread those famous cobbles. I was only meant to stay for six weeks initially, so for Erica to be so popular that she stayed for three years and even worked in The Rovers was a real compliment to me as an actress.”

But are things about to heat up between Erica and Kevin? Rumors are circulating that the feisty blonde and the over-alled mechanic are about to embark on a rather illicit adventure. Photos from the show reveal that the pair are seen together at a hotel, possibly for some loving in the afternoon? What will their respective partners have to say about this? Erica and Dev Alahan have been together for more than a year, while Kevin is in a committed relationship with Anna Windass. Or is he?

When Kevin arrives at the hotel to meet up with Erica, he’s dressed quite nicely in a smart suit. He won’t be consulting on her motor, then? Kevin has had his share of troubles recently, perhaps leading to some unrelieved stress. After his daughter Sophie became ill without having any health insurance, he had to foot the bill.
