‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Must Play Cards Carefully – Nick is Husband Material

'The Young and the Restless' Spoilers: Chelsea Must Play Cards Carefully – Nick is Husband MaterialChelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) needs stability on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Adam (formerly played by Justin Hartley) was the love of her life, but now he’s gone. Nick (Joshua Morrow) can easily become more than just a friend, but in order for that to happen Mrs. Newman must play her cards carefully.

Of course, if Chelsea eventually marries Nick her last name won’t change. Plus, Chelsea 2.0 will supply the dress. So that expense will surely be saved. However, Y&R fans know that the still-grieving widow is holding a paternity secret that directly affects Nick and his undead son.

Christian’s (Jamie and Alister Tobias) biological dad apparently is Adam. The late Mr. Newman confirmed that supposed truth via a letter Sage (Kelly Sullivan) addressed to his attention before her death. The same type of compassion and discretion that ‘Chadam’ recently offered to Nick about this matter is now being presented solely by Chelsea.

Since it’s not possible to walk in Chelsea’s designer shoes, one should consider her predicament instead. Tell Nick the truth, which would go against Victor’s (Eric Braeden) seemingly wise advice, or retain this information indefinitely. Both choices are fraught with risk.

The issue also isn’t totally moot, as Chelsea could shift her opinion at any time. But for the moment she’s decided to remain mum. In so doing she’s not gambling that Nick will never discover, or be told of Christian’s true paternity. Instead, Chelsea is hoping that even if Nick learns that truth that he won’t also confirm her preexisting knowledge.

Some modern minds often argue that someone like Chelsea doesn’t need a man, insinuating that his entire gender represents something bad. With whatever aspects of their own lives propel such advice, or even if those rigid souls are simply misguided cynics, a belief in humanity allows all individuals to think past restricting negativity. Each person is the only expert on her, or his own life. With that fact in place, this scribe’s advice to Chelsea is to do what you think is best.
