‘The Young and the Restless’ POLL: Does Victor Deserve His Families Betrayal? VOTE!

'The Young and the Restless' POLL: Does Victor Deserve His Families Betrayal? VOTE!“The Young and the Restless” viewers have heard a lot about betrayal lately. Victor (Eric Braeden) has been consumed with revenge from the moment he stepped foot in the state pen. He’s determined to make his family pay the price for their disloyalty. Several Newmans are already facing Victor’s wrath.

As vengeance looms for this wayward clan, we want to know your opinion. Is Victor right about all of this? Are Victor’s family members selfish or was it necessary to betray him? There are two sides to every story. Let’s examine this “Young and the Restless” storyline from every angle so you can cast your vote in our Y&R poll.

First, we have to remember that Victor’s actions were extremely cruel. He was the one who tracked down Marco (Peter Bergman) and allowed him to violate Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Victor orchestrated the swap and let Kelly (Cady McClain) torture Jack (Peter Bergman) on that island.

When you consider Victor’s transgressions, you could argue that he’s being a big baby. He deserves to be right where he is. At the same time, his whole family did turn against him. Victor feels broken and alone. He’s helped his loved ones out of many jams over the years. There are only problems when Victor feels like his family has been unfaithful.

Of course, Victor thinks Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is to blame for their marital drama. Nikki has let plenty of schemes slide, but she just couldn’t take it anymore. Victor believes Nikki should have stood by him. That goes for the rest of his family, too.

Victor committed some terrible crimes, but did the rest of the Newmans have to fight so hard to bring him down? Their testimony was likely a major factor in Victor’s lengthy sentence. Whether they thought it was for the best or not, they should’ve known vengeance would follow.

The Newmans are responsible for at least some of the chaos they’re going through. Adam (Justin Hartley) stabbed his father in the back once again when he tried to block Victor’s ticket out of prison. He tipped off Dr. Gates’ (Alicia Coppola) dad to what was going on and created another obstacle for Vic. Adam knew Victor would retaliate, but he just had to stick it to his old man.

Except for Summer (Hunter King), none of the Newmans truly care about Victor anymore. If they aren’t concerned with Victor’s well-being, why should he be concerned what happens to them? We don’t condone Victor’s behavior, but he might be in a better frame of mind if his family had expressed some sympathy.

Is Victor right about his family? Are his loved ones really being selfish or did Victor deserve to be betrayed? “The Young and the Restless” fans should have some strong opinions on this! Vote in our Y&R poll and don’t forget to check Soap Opera Spy often for the latest “Young and the Restless” spoilers, rumors, updates and news.

You know if Victor had at least taken some responsibility for his evil deeds his family would probably have given him some compassiom but no he thought what he did was justified. So sick of his of his cry I did it for my family. Don’t think so he did it for VICTOR.
