‘The Young and The Restless’ POLL: Which Y&R Character Should Be Elected President of The USA? VOTE!

'The Young and The Restless' POLL: Which Y&R Character Should Be Elected President of The USA? VOTE!Discussions involving politics, religion, and soap operas can be divisive. Yet, these subjects must be addressed for the common good. Every four years the United States holds a Presidential election. That’s why it’s critical that all registered viewers of ‘The Young and the Restless’ exercise their entertainment right by selecting a character who should be President.

Select one person from the slate shown below, or type in a selection of one’s own choosing. No major, or minor, political affiliations are shown aside of any candidate because all are members of various actor’s parties. One doesn’t have to be a citizen of the United States in order to vote in this particular election, as all worldwide opinions are valued.

Of course, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) leads in the polls. This businessman, who has never been in any elected office, represents the monied establishment on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The so-called great man boasts of having bought elected officials, judges, business people, and common citizens for various schemes. He lies, cheats, and steals, which trumps (pun intended, or not, depending upon one’s view of this reality show) everyone’s depravity. Victor’s values are admired by curmudgeons and those who live within Washington’s DC limits.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) blindsided Victor when she announced her candidacy on their anniversary, with accompanying flashback scenes having been shown of the original nuptials. Yes, she once danced for a living and is the wife of a billionaire. But, Nikki Reed Newman is also the only woman on this slate. She believes that history is on her side, or whatever cliche sounds great.

Jack (Peter Bergman) defeated Nikki to win a Wisconsin State Senate seat many years ago on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Opting against personal peace, he decided to fight Victor when entering this race. However, all viewer voters should know that Marco Anaselli (also played by Bergman) had miraculous ear replacement surgery and is believed to be living in the Midwestern part of the USA. So, is Jack actually running?

Neil (Kristoff St. John) worked in the corporate world for decades where he broke barriers and earned admiration. Neil currently has his drinking problem under control and has separated himself from Hilary, meaning the character that Mishael Morgan plays on the show. Neil possesses diverse experience and understands how to work collaboratively. Apparently, Malcolm (Shemar Moore) will be written into the show so he can photograph his brother’s inaugural, if Neil’s elected.

Yes, Ian Ward (Ray Wise) is running his campaign from prison. Savvy politicians commit crimes and are never incarcerated, while other elected officials cross too many lines and end up behind bars. Ian admits that he’s dishonest and is anticipating that a majority of Americans are the same. He believes that they’ll vote for someone who’s been called crooked, plays the victim, and seemingly has no shame.

What do fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ think? Which character on the show deserves to sit in the Oval Office? Vote in our poll below!
