Soap Opera Weekly Ratings October 3-7: DOOL and GH Up, Y&R And B&B Massive LossThe soap opera atatings for the week of October 3-7 have been reported by Soap Opera Network. After a huge boost in the ratings the previous week, ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ ratings down considerably both in total viewers and women 18-49. ‘The Young and the Restless’ showed a huge dip in the ratings for total viewers and women 18-49. ‘General Hospital’ ratings dropped with total viewers but ratings were up in the women 18-49 demographic. ‘Days of Our Lives’ ratings were up both with total viewers and women 18-49.

Days of Our Lives

‘DOOL’ ratings for the week of October 3-7 once again showed an increase in total viewership. The daytime drama had 2,218,000 watching – a gain of 5,000 total viewers over the previous week. ‘Days of Our Lives’ ratings with women 18-49 were also up. A total of 394,000 viewers came from this demographic. This represents a gain of 8,000 in this category.




General Hospital

‘GH’ ratings were down again with total viewers the week of October 3 through October 7. With 2,671,000 turned in that a loss of 32,000 viewers in this category. For the third week in a row the daytime drama did see an increase in the ratings in with women 18-49. In this category 457,000 tuned in, a gain of 5,000 viewers from the previous week.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Soap Opera Network reports a massive drop in the ratings for ‘B&B’ for the week of October 3-7. With 3,719,000 total viewers tuned in, ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ lost 194,000 total viewers after gaining 230,000 the week prior. Women 18-49 tuned B&B’ out with 487,000 watching, a loss of 64,000viewers in this demographic.

The Young and the Restless

‘Y&R’ ratings for October 3-7 were down again across all demographics. With 4,450,000 total viewers, ‘The Young and the Restless’ lost 241,000 viewers compared to the previous week. The soap opera also dipped in the ratings in the women 18-49 demographic with 573,000 tuned in. That’s a loss of 36,000 women viewers ages 18-49.

What happened to cause such a massive loss of viewers for ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ and ‘The Young and the Restless’? The previous week ‘B&B’ had a major bump in the ratings, but ‘Y&R’ keeps losing viewers.
