Soap Opera Poll: The Most Powerful Men In Daytime – Who Is Your Favorite? Vote!

Soap Opera Poll: The Most Powerful Men In Daytime – Who Is Your Favorite? Vote!Throughout the years, daytime dramas have had some outrageously powerful men on the past and present soap operas. From ‘The Young And The Restless,‘ to ‘General Hospital,’ to now cancelled ‘Guiding Light,’ – who has been your favorite? Let’s take a look at some of them:

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), ‘General Hospital:’

Port Charles is never spared of mob activities once Sonny is involved. Maurice Benard certainly has brought life to his character. Nobody plays angry mobster like the great Sonny Corinthos. With practically no prison time, Sonny can put out a hit on just about any one of his enemies in Port Charles. No one wants to be on the receiving end of Sonny’s wrath, is Sonny your favorite bad guy?

Julian Jerome (William DeVry), ‘General Hospital’:

Currently Julian may be the owner of Crimson Magazine and the Port Charles Press but like Sonny, Julian was a powerful mobster. Let’s not forget how Julian put out a hit on Duke (Ian Buchanan). Julian was able to pull strings like any mobster, but was he your favorite bad guy turned good?

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), ‘The Young and the Restless’, & Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), ‘Days of Our Lives’:

Is there currently anybody on daytime television that uses so many tactics to control their family members like these two? Well let’s talk about the tale of two Victors. These Victors will go through great lengths just to keep their children, grandchildren and family members in check, including sending them to prison if they have to. They are so powerful and connected that with just one phone call they can get a prison sentence removed. They both run high ranking companies in which they employ their relatives to work. Are they the most powerful men in daytime?

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), ‘The Bold and the Beautiful:’
The great Dollar Bill Spencer may not be resorting to certain tactics at the moment due to his current challenges with his wife and sister in law. But Bill is also one of the well connected and powerful men on daytime TV; does he hold your vote?

Alistair Crane (John Reilly), Passions:

Somehow many fans must miss this controlling man. Alistair was one of the most ruthless and powerful men on television back then. Alistair used his power to control the women he loved, inflict pain on his enemies and rivals and even his very own family. Is he more powerful than today’s leading men of daytime?

Alan Spaulding (Ron Raines), Guiding Light:

As the CEO of Spaulding Enterprises, Alan was the controller of practically every decision made in regards to the family. Similar to Victor Newman, Victor Kiriakis, Alistar Craine, Stefano DiMera, Alan pulled some strings nobody else could do to his connection to people in high positions. Alan was extremely powerful, but was he your favorite?

So which one of these men was your favorite powerful man, is there someone we missed that was your favorite?  Let us know what you think and vote in the poll below!
